What's New
Version one.12.ii
Version 1.12.two:
This update improves an open up in Apollo issue, too as a few other small problems.
Version 1.12.1:
Here'due south an update with some handy issues fixes and improvements based on cracking feedback from the Christmas update. Read on!
+ A new, really absurd icon from Yannick Lung. It'south of the Apollo mascot in an old schoolhouse scuba adjust by the incredible Yannick Lung, and I love how the details actually brand it feel like an icon from a nostalgic era of time passed. Have been enjoying it a lot on the ol' dwelling screen.
+ Improvements to table rendering. Cheers yous for sending in some great examples of tables that (aslope Apollo's new inline table renderer) weren't quite displaying properly, so I've tidied those all up then they should display gorgeously now.
+ Also tweaked layout algorithm a flake so that some tables that were a bit cramped should display nicer at present.
+ Fixed bug where the "Quote" pick in "Select Text" fashion and in the comment composer wouldn't testify up.
+ Fixed bug where the subscriber count and number of currently active accounts wasn't showing upwards in the sidebar (and also added the short subreddit description to the top of it).
+ Fixed problems where some links wouldn't be tappable or only the subreddit/user role would be if information technology was a Reddit link.
+ Fixed a problems where tapping on some user or subreddit links could jump you into the browser/out of Apollo rather than staying in the app (same with Wikipedia links, fixed too).
+ Fixed bug where preview text (like for a text mail in a subreddit, or underneath an Inbox detail) was also night, fabricated it a bit lighter like before and then as to alloy in amend
+ Fixed a problems with some escaped Markdown characters and those inside code blocks.
+ Stock-still a bug around newlines/line breaks in Markdown.
+ Fixed a bug where sometimes y'all could get a duplicate notification.
+ Fixed issues where text in private letters could exist visually hard to read due to low contrast.
+ If you tap on a link to u/me, it'll properly load your profile now.
+ Added choice in Settings tab > General to share Reddit links as their "one-time.reddit" version.
+ Fixed bug where Apollo was hateful to usernames with hyphens in them.
+ Fixed issues where when comments loaded self text could refresh/flash in a non-cool way.
+ Fixed bug where couldn't select the title of the post in "Select Text" way.
+ If you tap on a timestamped YouTube video information technology will at present open to that fourth dimension.
+ Limits comment link previews to 5.
+ Fixed bug where subreddit rules could get cut off at the top slightly.
+ Flattened large groups of newlines in a comment/mail service into just 2.
+ Fixed issues where code blocks could get cut off at the bottom.
+ Fixed bug where widgets would not show upwardly on iOS xiv.
+ A fix for a crash that could occur on iOS 12 devices. Actually sorry near that 1, strange bug that was but everything should be in tip superlative shape now. As a note, after this update (one.12.1) Apollo will likely require iOS fourteen and higher for farther updates. You lot'll still be able to run Apollo on iOS 12 and 13 just as you were earlier, just new updates will require iOS fourteen and higher. Statistically very few Apollo users are notwithstanding on these older versions (well under i% of users) and the piece of work to maintain these older versions and put off using nice, newer iOS features in full (SwiftUI, SceneDelegate, Combine, Swift Concurrency, etc.) is get-go to get a flake tough to maintain given the small userbase (and I'm just one person building this app), so I figure now'due south a good a time as for iOS 14 to become the base. Promise that'south understandable.
Hope these first two weeks of 2022 have served you well, and if not, well I endeavour to make the rest happier through Apollo updates!

Ratings and Reviews
Absolutely Stellar App, Programmer is 🔥
Apollo is past far the well-nigh-used app on my phone (and at present I have the ScreenTime reports to testify it). It is orders of magnitude better than the "official" reddit app and is superior in every way. Information technology is fast and smooth and packed with features. I specially honey that I tin selection the theme I want, modify the icon, and remove ads! The thing I hated about about the official app was the ads that were disguised equally legitimate posts and with Apollo that'south all gone!
I bought the Pro upgrade months ago to gain admission to additional features and it was one of the few in-app purchases I have never regretted or felt like wasn't worth the cost. Today the programmer released an update calculation a agglomeration of new features that crave a very reasonable (seems underpriced to be honest) monthly subscription, and like a true bro he has the option to unlock it for life with a onetime purchase! I detest monthly and fifty-fifty yearly subscriptions so I particularly appreciated this selection.
All that past itself should convince you that this app is worth it, only the affair that actually seals the deal is the programmer. He is amazing. Super agile with feedback and very open up in his communication nigh the status of the app's development and requested features.
Fantastic Reddit client for iPhone
From first use, this app is a joy to employ. It integrates incredibly well with the residual of iOS. The default settings are mostly intuitive (particularly for first time users) and for those places where the app doesn't do what yous wait, the bachelor options are extensive.
What prompted me to write this review was actually a characteristic of the Ultra subscription (also available as a one fourth dimension purchase). I'd put off purchasing Ultra for a while, as the biggest draw to me was the message/respond notifications but I still used Narwhal for that. I recently subscribed to support the programmer, and got my first notification. Information technology's slap-up, information technology feels like an iMessage notification with a quick reply canvass opening upward so I can answer with the like shooting fish in a barrel option to open the full app as well.
The i limitation I run across with this app is the iPad interface. It is non as well thought out as the iPhone interface; information technology'due south basically a scaled up version of the iPhone interface. But as an iPhone app, this is the best Reddit client I've used (I even prefer it over the old and new website on a "real" computer).
